Fall Forum: The Catholic Liturgy
Spend a weekend learning about the beauty and depth of our Liturgy.
Keynote Speaker: Joseph Pearce

“The sun sinks to rise again; the day is swallowed up in the gloom of the night, to be born out of it, as fresh as if it had never been quenched. Spring passes into summer, and through summer and autumn into winter, only the more surely, by its own ultimate return, to triumph over that grave, towards which it resolutely hastened from its first hour.” (John Henry Newman)

The liturgy is the central work of the Church, which offers sacrifice on behalf of all of creation for the sanctification of the world.  Such importance mandates careful attention.  This conference will explore the history and theology of Catholic liturgy, touching on significant aspects such as architecture and music, and addressing important topics such as Mass ad orientem and the extraordinary form of the Mass.  Our keynote presenter is Mr. Joseph Pearce, who will deliver a lecture entitled “The Liturgy and the Second Spring” on Friday, November 17th, and a second lecture entitled, “The Death & Resurrection of the Mass: Modernism versus Tradition”, on Saturday, November 18th.  The Conference will also include presentations by Fr. James Weldon, Fr. Michael Nolan, Fr. Patrick Reilley, James Bitting, Jr., Rachel Dugan, and Bo Bonner, and conclude with a banquet and concluding lecture on Saturday evening.
