The December Catholic Assembly for Business quarterly breakfast will feature guest speaker Matt Schlapp, co-founder of Cove Strategies. Cove Strategies is a boutique government and public relations firm providing expertise in public policy, communications, political strategy, fundraising, and advocacy campaigns for corporate and non-profit clients. Matt will provide unique insight into his journey of faith, how it anchors him to his family, and how he tries to live out his Catholic faith at the difficult crossroads of national politics, policy advocacy, and faith.

Matt Schlapp serves as the ninth Chairman of the nation's oldest and largest conservative grassroots organization, the American Conservative Union. From 2001 to 2005, Schlapp served as President Bush's political director during the re-election and previously as his deputy political director. Schlapp left the White House to run the Washington, DC offices of Koch Industries. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (B.A.) and Wichita State University (M.P.A.)

Matt and his wife Mercedes have five young daughters and are parishioners of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.
